PARSUK is looking for a Research Analyst to join us for six months as part of the project that maps scientific linkages between the United Kingdom and Portugal.
The project will be conducted with the support of the Science and Innovation Office at the UK Embassy in Lisbon and with the Portuguese National Science Foundation (FCT).
The successful candidate will draw on various sources, from research papers and reports to
strategy documents and databases, to analyse trends and draw insights on bilateral cooperation between Portugal and UK in the domain of science and innovation.
The post is available for six months, ideally from February to August 2022.
The post holder can be based in Portugal or in the United Kingdom, subject to appropriate
employment checks.
Core skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Remuneration will take into account higher degrees.
Ability to work in a team.
Experience in cross-functional project management.
Ability to collect, organise and process information and data from a range of sources,
including databases such as SPIDER, GPS, Ciência Vitae and others.
Ability to present data to a variety of stakeholders (e.g. via PowerPoint) and work with the team to draw insights and conclusions.
Gather feedback from the team to mine relevant information from the information collected.
Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
Desirable skills and experience:
Analytical experience within a professional context, particularly in secondary research.
Experience in conducting a systematic literature reviews (e.g. using PRISMA 2020 or similar frameworks).
